I have to complain for a moment about traffic. I specifically hate the anonymity that most people seem to feel when they step into a closed vehicle. They don't have to actually face another person when they do something rude or even dangerous, and its amazing how many people are both rude and dangerous.

Imagine, for example, standing in a line of 50 people at the movie theater waiting for tickets. Everyone waits their turn, and moves up slowly hoping that they can buy their tickets and get in before the movie starts. From your vantage point in the back of the line, however, you see someone walk past you from the back and go all the way to the front of the line. They then make some gesture with their right hand indicating that they want to be let in, and someone in the front steps back to accomodate them. Ridiculous, right? There would be a riot and they would be thrown to the back of the line! This is what happens constantly on my way to and from work, however! Everyone knows that there is construction ahead, they see that we are all patiently waiting in the long line of merged cars, but they think that if they just zip up to the front of the line someone will let them in, and wonder of wonders, they do! I would rather have a wreck then let these people merge. I need to find a job closer to home.
